Saying “no” can stop your dog in the moment, but it doesn’t tell her what she should be doing. Think about what you want her to do instead, and train that cue!Get more tips
What people are saying...
"When my dog was having 'issues' around my mom’s dog I didn't know what to do. I was soon panicking anytime they were around each other and becoming a stress case. I asked Abbie how to remedy the situation and I learned that my stress was actually adding to their anxiety. I followed her suggestions and I no longer worry about leaving them alone together. She is the best....and my dog thinks so too!"
Your dog doesn’t understand English. You don’t understand Dog (or chances are you wouldn’t be reading this in the first place). I can help – life with your dog can be easy!
My name is Abbie Mood, and I call myself a dog trainer, but what I really do is help dogs and their humans to understand each other better. When you work with me, you will learn about dog behavior and dog body language so that you can get more of the desired behaviors from your dog and less of those undesirable behaviors. I use what are called positive reinforcement strategies, which means using the most humane training methods that will strengthen your bond with your dog.
You can read more about my education and training here.
